Bournstream Trust
Bournstream is a magical outdoor playspace dedicated to children and young people with additional needs. It has around 20 acres of open space with a variety of play areas (sand, water play, play houses, observation hut, trikes and bikes and more). It also has picnic areas, both open and covered. You kind of have to see it to believe it! You need to become a member to use the space, which involves coming along to a meeting and paying a very small fee (£10 at the time of this writing).

Children’s Centres
Children’s centres offer a range of activities, information and support from professionals working in a wide range of fields for children under five and their families. Many centres run activities, especially for children with additional needs.

Dimensions Autism-friendly Cinema
On Sunday mornings throughout the month, films suitable for all audiences are screened in a sensory friendly and inclusive environment. The adjustments at the cinema reduce over-stimulation and create a welcoming place for autistic people to enjoy films with their families, friends or carers.

Incredible Kids (IK)
IK runs play sessions for children with disabilities and additional needs and their families after school, and on Saturdays. Come and enjoy a cup of tea and meet other parents in a similar situation while your children have lots to enjoy. For older children, there is a selection of computers and games consoles, which they are free to use with adult supervision.
They have a selection of special needs toys for the whole family to enjoy together including a sensory tent, toy cars, train sets, Lego, play tents, ride-on toys, soft toys and much, much more. They provide a safe place for families with children who have special needs to come together and spend quality time as a family.

Jigsaw is a small, welcoming group set up for any families who have children or young people with any additional needs or disabilities (with or without a diagnosis). There are craft activities, sensory play, healthy snack and most importantly, time to chat, share ideas and support each other. This group meets every Thursday (during term time) from 1.30pm to 3pm.

Little Treasures
Little treasures is a parent-led play and support group for children with additional needs, their siblings and their parents/carers to come together and meet other families in a similar position. Each week, we have a messy play/arts and craft activity to encourage group play, activities room and a fully enclosed outside area. A snack is also provided. This group meets on Thursdays (in term time) from 9.30 to 11.00am.

Safe Space
They provide play sessions for children with additional needs. They have toys for all ages, Wii, Xbox, Lego, colouring and more. Their sessions also provide an opportunity for parents and carers to chat.
